A FAMILY has been rocked by a double tragedy after the mother of a tragic teen died.
Sue Thompson, from Blackpool, died on Saturday - just days after her 19-year-old son Sam Bee was found dead in South Shore.
The circumstances surrounding Ms Thompson’s death are unclear, but she is believed to have been ill before her son’s death.
It is the second tragedy to hit the family, who are still grieving the loss of Mr Bee.
The teenager’s body was discovered slumped in an alleyway between Dean Street and Station Road last Tuesday.
In an emotional tribute on Facebook, Mr Bee’s sister, Sarah, said: “Rest in peace mum.
“You’re with Sam now, I knew you’d hang on for him.
“You’re both together now. I love you so much, give Sam a kiss from me.”
Ms Thompson is thought to have spent most of her life in Blackpool, having attended the former Tyldesley High School as a youngster.
A 19-year-old man has been charged with Mr Bee’s murder.
Robert Heneghan, of Palatine Road, South Shore, is alleged to have inflicted a single stab wound to his chest.
