A man accused of pretending to be a police officer and then stripping naked in front of two pensioners in a caravan has made his first appearance at court.

Adam Steel, 22, formerly of North Promenade, St Annes, now living at Laycock Gate, Layton, Blackpool, is charged with impersonating a police officer, intentionally indecently exposing his genitals, affray and damaging a car.

The offences are alleged to have taken place in front of a man and woman in their sixties at the Cala Gran Holiday Park, Fleetwood, on May 12 this year.
Pam Smith, prosecuting, asked for the case to be heard at crown court. Defence lawyer, Steven Townley, said his client would not indicate pleas to the charges at this stage.

Steel was bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on September 19 by District Judge Jeff Brailsford sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
He must live at his given address, report to police daily and not enter the Cala Gran Holiday Park or Fleetwood as conditions of his bail.
