Ex-Seasiders boss facing court battle after pleas

Two people accused of offences against former Blackpool FC manager Colin Hendry and his daughter have entered their pleas.

The husband and wife accused of the offences against the ex-Scottish captain and Premiership star, who was part of Blackburn Rovers’ 1995 title-winning side, and his daughter Rheagan, have submitted pleas to allegations they have faced for months.

The have both pleaded not guilty to offences alleged to have taken place in June last year.

A series of court hearings have taken place before judges an magistrates at Blackpool.

Hector McFarlane, 64, and his wife Williamina, 62, both of South Holme, Lytham, are curently living in Thailand but Judge Rod Ross was told by their lawyer Allan Cobain that the pair deny all charges.

Hector McFarlane is accused with assaulting Hendry an his daughter Rheagan in a tapas bar in Lytham.

Williamina is accused of behaving in a threatening manner towards Rheagan Hendry.

The McFarlane’ are expected to return to the UK in the New Year when a date for their trial will be fixed.
