Prosecutor, Adrian Hollamby, said police were called to a report of two men shouting, swearing and causing a disturbance on Dickson Road, on June 23 at 4pm.

Brett Chappell, defending, said O’Hara had been viciously assaulted.

Both he and Heaps had been drinking when the man who had assaulted O’Hara saw them and started abusing them.
