Blackpool magistrates were told that on January 2, Gladden was ejected from a train after he could not produce a ticket. He was drunk and went into the station booking office.

When he was told by staff he was not fit to travel he punched a heater.

In a separate incident, on October 31 police found Gladden in an alley off Bold Street, Fleetwood, with a small knife in his pocket.

Gladden told the court he had now seen the error of his ways and stopped drinking.

He was sentenced to a nine weeks tagged curfew, from 9pm to 6am, and ordered to pay £100 compensation.
