A MAN was refused his own money from a bank - for being too drunk.

Scotsman Graeme McGill, 37, was declined because staff at a Blackpool branch of the Halifax bank decided he could not be trusted with his own money. He refused to leave the premises and fell asleep in a chair.

Blackpool magistrates heard how staff decided they did not want snoring McGill of Crystal Road, South Shore, disturbing their Saturday morning customers so commandeered a wheelchair and wheeled him out into the street outside,

McGill admitted being drunk and disorderly and was fined £65 and ordered to pay £55 costs.
