A drug user caused a fracas in a Blackpool close when she asked residents for money.

Lesley Burge, 31, of Camden Road, Layton, admitted breach of the peace and was bound over in the sum of £50 for six months by Blackpool magistrates.

Alison Quanbrough, prosecuting, said police went twice to Kytson Close, Blackpool, where Burge had been asking for money on July 29.

The third time officers were called there Burge was banging on her mother’s door in the close.

Brett Chappell, defending, said his client who was addicted to heroin had used half a bag of the drug before being arrested.
