A couple got into trouble with police after a night out drinking.

Michael Naylor and Stacey Hoyle returned to their address at The Foyer Hostel and caused hundreds of pounds of damage.

Naylor, 18, of The Foyer, Chapel Street, Blackpool, admitted causing £400 damage and being drunk and disorderly.

Hoyle, 20, of the same address, pleaded guilty to causing £300 damage, obstructing police and being drunk and disorderly.

They were bailed for pre-sentence reports and are to be sentenced as a later date by Blackpool magistrates.

Pam Smith, prosecuting, said the couple went out drinking on July 23 and Naylor saw Hoyle kissing a doorman.

He returned to The Foyer and kicked and shoulder-barged Hoyle’s door in and ripped an intercom off the wall.

When police arrived, Hoyle tried to stop officers taking Naylor away. She also admitted damaging the intercom and the walls by punching them.

On August 6 the couple were arrested in Blackpool after drunkenly shouting at the top of their voices.

Brett Chappell, defending, said the common thread running through the offences was alcohol.
