From suspects wanted for burglaries to fugitive sex offenders on the run, we are featuring a selection of mugshots from the police’s ‘wanted’ database every week in our new feature ‘Crime Files’.

We’ll be publishing details each week, with their pictures, in a bid to bring them to justice. Today, we start with 14 faces you may recognise.

Det Sgt Dave Priest said: “We are asking Gazette readers for their assistance to help us find these people we want to speak to in connection with various incidents or for not attending court.

“If you have seen or know of the whereabouts of any of the people pictured please contact us.”

Andy Sykes, The Gazette’s deputy editor, said: “The media has long supported local police forces in the hunt for wanted suspects - in fact a day rarely goes by without The Gazette sharing appeals from Lancashire Police for individuals they want to speak to.

“But this is the first time we have joined forces to shine a light on those who are either evading justice or need to be eliminated from the police enquiries.

“Please take a close look at the pictures on this page and get in touch with police if you have any information as to their whereabouts.

“Some of the offences may seem low level but they are crimes that can have demoralising effects on those who fall victim to them.

“In the digital age, this is a real chance to help the police track down those at large.

“We will update you each week on their progress.”
