Director on multi-thousand pound car badge fraud charges

A company director has appeared at court charged in connection with an alleged multi-thousand pound up market car badge fraud.

Matthew Shlusar, 37, of Sadler's Row ,St Annes ran Carbon Motorsport on Snowdon Road, St Annes.

He faced 16 charges when he appeared before District Judge Jane Goodwin sitting at Blackpool Magistrates Court.

Thirteen of the charges allege he offered for sale and sold a large quantity of fake car badges, for makes such as Range Rover, Audi, BMW,Jaguar,Over finch and VW.

He faces three offences of concealing money earned - £387,000 - in PayPal accounts.

The offences date back to 2018.

The judge said the allegations must be heard at Crown Court and he was bailed to appear there on September 9.
