A NOTORIOUS paedophile who was deported back to the UK from Australia was back in court – this time in Blackpool.

Kenneth Trotter was described by a judge in Sydney as “a callous, sadistic and heartless human being” when he was jailed for sex attacks on children.

Blackpool Magistrates’ Court yesterday made Trotter the subject of a Sex Offenders Prevention Order banning him from having contact with children or working door-to-door.

They were told Trotter went to a centre at North Shore Methodist Church and pretended to have been sent from the Jobcentre to employ girls aged 14 and over to work as canvassers for him.

He said girls – aged over 16 – could live at a house he was buying in Blackpool.

The court also heard Trotter, of Clevedon Road, North Shore, had set up a door to door sewing machine repair business.

However, police believed that was a front for his child grooming, the court was told.

Sue Mugford, defending, said her client could not get any benefits because he had spent so long in Australia and his income came from door-to-door work without which he would starve.
