Defendant accused of disabled man attack

A man has made his first appearance in court accused of robbing a disabled man.

Ryan Gorman, 25, of Haig Road, South Shore, is charged with robbing the man of his mobile phone on November 21, the court was told.

He also faces two offences of fraud by attempting to sell a mobile phone which did not belong to him.

Karen Saffman, prosecuting, asked for the case to be heard at crown court.

Defence lawyer, Peter Manning, asked for bail for his client.

Gorman was bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on December 22 by Blackpool magistrates.

He must live at his given address, keep an overnight curfew and not enter Yates Street as conditions of his bail.
