Damaged Ford Focus stopped on the M55 leaving Blackpool three weeks after crash

A car involved in a crash more than three weeks ago was stopped by police leaving Blackpool on the M55 on Saturday.

The blue Ford Focus was pulled over by officers from the Lancs Road Police team after it was spotted with a damaged wing, headlight and bumper, inset.

An officer later tweeted images of the car on the team’s Twitter account.

The tweet said: “Vehicle stopped on the M55 leaving Blackpool. Driver claimed to have had a collision some three weeks prior and had continued to drive the vehicle in it’s current “safe” condition.”

The driver was reported for using a vehicle in a dangerous condition and issued a prohibition.
