Christopher Hogg had been banned by a court from contacting his estranged partner, but he then sent her a text threatening to take the children.

Hogg, 23, of St Albans Road, St Annes, pleaded guilty to failing comply with a bail condition.

Blackpool magistrates agreed to rebail him.

Prosecutor, Jim Mowbray, said Hogg had been bailed on the condition he did not contact his partner.

On October 17 Hogg sent his partner several texts, one of which stated “if you are lying, I’ll walk into your mum’s and take the kids.”

Brett Chappell, defending, said his client had two children aged five and six with his partner. Contact with the children had been difficult because he was prohibited from contacting his partner.

Since Hogg had been put on bail his partner had been contacting him by sending him texts.

Mr Chappell added: “It has come to his attention there are grave concerns about his children’s welfare. He says he saw them walking down the street with no shoes on and he took them back. He then texted his partner asking what on earth was going on.”
