Police who suspected a man was on drugs by the way he was riding his bicycle found a bag of cannabis under the saddle.
Jonathan Smith, 23, of Blakiston Road, Fleetwood, pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis.
He was given a nine months conditional discharge and ordered to pay £15 victims’ surcharge by District Judge James Prowse sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
Prosecutor, Pam Smith, said on September 4 at 11.30pm police stopped Smith as he rode erratically along Blackpool Promenade.
A small amount of green plant material found in a carrier bag tied under the saddle, was cannabis.
He had a previous conviction for cannabis possession.
Patrick Nelligan, defending, told the judge his client had not smoked any cannabis for several weeks.
