Curfew for man who attacked partner and 'threw things around' after row

A man who turned aggressive and attacked his partner after a row has been ordered to pay the victim £250.

Pam Smith, prosecuting, told the court how the victim had been to church before she started to drink.

A row erupted and Doherty began throwing things around, magistrates heard.

He then turned on her, grabbing her chest and causing her pain.

Doherty was given a community order with a rehabilitation requirement and put on an eight-week curfew.

He must also pay his victim £250 compensation.
