A CHEF who could not drive took his friend’s car and crashed it twice.

Kieron Loughlin smashed into a wall first and then set off again before colliding with a lamp-post, causing more than £3,000 worth of damage.

He finally tried to make it look as though the car had been taken by someone else, by allegedly rubbing DNA from a jacket, which was in the car, on the steering wheel and then telling police he had witnessed the second 

Loughlin, 23, formerly of Seabourne Avenue, South Shore, now living in Knowle Avenue, Cleveleys, admitted the aggravated taking of a Ford Fiesta and driving without insurance or a licence. The crashes happened around 1am on May 15.

Loughlin wanted some cigarettes and took his flatmate’s car.

But he crashed the car shortly after.

He was bailed for pre-sentence reports with all options including custody to be considered by Blackpool magistrates.
