Police want to speak to this man after a 17-year-old boy was threatened in broad daylight with a metal object.

The teenager was walking home from college when he was approached by a man on Chepstow Road, Grange Park, who asked for the time and insisted he check his phone.

When the victim refused, the man revealed what is thought to be a metal corkscrew.

The teenager ran away to raise the alarm. He was not harmed and didn’t have any property stolen during the incident which happened at around 4pm on February 28.

The man is described as Asian, around 5ft10ins tall and was wearing a black ‘Location’ jacket and green, woollen, fingerless gloves. He had a local accent and was riding a black bicycle.

PC Rebecca Jackson said: “Thankfully the teenager didn’t come to any harm, but was left shaken by what happened.

“If anybody has any information at all about this incident or recognises the man in the Evofit then I would urge them to contact police.”
