CCTV clue in hunt for power tools thieves

Police in Garstang who are investigating the theft of power tools worth £8,000 have released these images of two men they are hunting .

Officers say two offenders forced their way into a machinery shop in Forton and stole chainsaws and power tools from inside.

The burglary took place between 2am and 3am on December 30 at Armstrong’s Garden Machinery, on Wallace Lane.

Police believe the thieves loaded the stolen goods onto a vehicle parked in a nearby field before making off undetected.

PC Matt Butcher, of Garstang Police, said: “I would urge anyone who recognises the men pictured in the CCTV images to contact us. Similarly, if anyone has any information about the burglary or saw any suspicious activity in the surrounding area I would appeal to them to get in touch.”
