CCTV APPEAL: Attempted robbery at post office in Blackpool

A shop worker was threatened by a robber armed with a knife during an attempted raid in Blackpool, say police.

The robber entered the Revoe post office and convenience shop on Central Drive at the junction of Chapel Street on January 5 at around 11pm.

Police say that the man then threatened staff with a knife making demands for money before making off empty handed.

Lancashire Police have now launched a CCTV appeal and are asking for members of the public with information to get in touch.

A force spokesman said: "We are appealing for any witnesses in relation to a robbery at the Post Office/convenience shop.

"We would appreciate if anyone recognises the male pictured that you contact Blackpool Police."
