A talented rugby player has appeared before a judge via video-link and admitted a catalogue of crime.
Daniel Helme, aged 22, of Whernside Road, Lancaster,who plays amateur league rugby union, entered guilty pleas through his solicitor Blackpool Magistrates Court.
Helme admits to intimidating a female witness telling her to withdraw her statement and four offences of assaulting a woman.
He also admitted damaging £1,000 worth of a woman’s property and damaging a car and a light at Blackpool Magistrates Court.
In addition he pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Transit without insurance or a licence.
Helme was remanded in custody for pre-sentence reports by District Judge Margaret McCormack sitting at the Chapel Street court.
