Stolen CDs were found at the home of a man with a collection of about 1,000 discs.
Peter Fish, 43, of Warley Road, North Shore, pleaded guilty to theft when he appeared before Blackpool Magistrates Court.
Martine Connah, prosecuting, said how, on December 16, three CDs were stolen from a man’s car, which was parked on his driveway.
The stolen discs were found in Fish’s lounge.
Steven Townley, defending, said Fish had gone out to try to get some money for his electricity meter.
He took the CDs from the car, realised he probably could not sell them and decided to add them to his collection.
Fish was sentenced to eight weeks imprisonment, suspended for 12 months, and put on a 24 weeks curfew from 8pm to 7am.
