A man and woman have admitted burgling a home in Fleetwood where a wallet containing money and bank cards was taken.

Darren Simm and Katrina Wild pleaded guilty in separate hearings before Preston Crown Court on Tuesday.

Simm, 39, of Darbishire Road, Fleetwood, and his 32-year-old co-defendant of Martindale Avenue, Fleetwood, both admitted burgling the home on Mount Street on February 9 this year.

Simm also admitted attempting to steal a wallet the day before.

His pleas were entered via a prison videolink system.

Magistrates had committed him to the higher court for fraud upon the same victim.

Wild also admitted two other offences of attempted theft, involving the use of a stolen bank card.

Their cases have been adjourned to July 2 for sentencing.

Simm was remanded in custody, but Wild was remanded on bail.

Judge Anthony Russell QC told them all sentencing options would be open to the court, including prison.
