A BISPHAM teenager has admitted assaulting his own brother.

David Edwards, 19, of Albern Place pleaded guilty to hitting his brother.

Alison Quanbrough, prosecuting at Blackpool Magistrates Court, said the incident took place when Edwards went to look for his brother who was late returning home.

They argued about a piece of fudge cake which Burton said he had found.

When Edwards tried to take the cake from him a row broke out and Edwards hit his brother in the face.

Patrick Nelligan, defending, said both brothers had learning difficulties and he had shown substantial remorse for what he had done.

Edwards was given a 12 month community order and ordered to do 15 hours at an attendance centre.
