A MAN broke the law when he accompanied his girlfriend when she went for breast enhancement surgery.

Ian Kersey was in breach of the terms of his bail when he drove her to the cosmetic surgery clinic.

Kersey, 33, of George Street, Blackpool, admitted breaching his bail for the third time when he appeared before the resort’s magistrates.

He was banned from seeing the woman as part of his bail conditions when he was charged with assaulting her. He denied the offence and was awaiting trial.

Pam Smith, prosecuting, said Kersey had twice previously breached bail by having contact with the woman via a phone box call and then texting her.

The third breach came when police were called to her home in Blackpool and they found Kersey hiding under a sheet in a bedroom.

Robert Castle defending told the court: “My client accepts he has breached his bail but on this occasion his girlfriend contacted him because she was having enhancement surgery at the clinic.”

Magistrates agreed to re-bail Kersey again but warned him he would be placed in custody if he breached again.
