Police continue to look for 37-year-old Philip Martin, and have today appealed for help from The Gazette’s readers.

There has been no confirmed sighting of Mr Martin, who lives alone in North Shore, since 5pm on Friday, June 17 when he left Layton Depot, in Plymouth Road, also North Shore, police said.

He sent a text message to a colleague two days later but then failed to turn up at 6am on the Monday morning, when worried pals called police.

PC George Berwick said: “This is completely out of character for Philip. There have been no confirmed sightings of him for almost two weeks and we are now extremely worried about him.

“We would urge anybody who sees him, or who knows where he may be, to contact us immediately.

“Similarly, we would appeal to Philip, if he sees this, to get in touch and let us know he is safe.”

Mr Martin was described as white with cropped dark brown hair.

Information can be reported by calling 101, quoting log number 779 of June 22, 2016.
