BREAKING: Armed police swoop at Manchester airport

Armed police are understood to have arrested a man today as he waited to board a flight at Manchester Airport.

The man reportedley had already passed through passport control and was in a lounge when officers swooped, according to the Manchester Evening News.

One passenger who was about to get on the same flight told the MEN: “The cops were armed and they came in from the boarding gate.

“They turned around and more cops were waiting. They nodded in the direction of the lounge. Two went in and came out with a male Asian guy. He looked very young. He was in the waiting lounge.”
