A 14-year-old boy accused of the manslaughter of a man in Blackpool has appeared before a crown court.
The youngster, who cannot be named due to his age, has been charged with the unlawful killing of 52-year old Paul Walker who was found lying unconscious in Sutton Place, Blackpool in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
In a preliminary hearing held before Preston Crown courtyesterday, a plea and case management hearing was set down for March 9.
The boy, who is currently remanded to the secure care of the local authority, was further remanded by Judge Stuart Baker until that next hearing.
An application for bail was adjourned to January 21 when a trial date will be fixed.
