Police looking for a missing man from Blackpool have found a body.

Darren Lundy, 50, was last seen at his home address on Primrose Avenue, Blackpool at about 9.45pm on Saturday, May 12.

Following extensive searches, a man’s body was found this morning at a car park at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

Formal identification is yet to take place but sadly the body is thought to be Darren.

Insp Steve Allum from Blackpool Police said: “Our thoughts remain with Darren’s family and friends at this sad and difficult time.

“His family have been notified.

"We would like to thank everyone who has helped to look for Darren, or shared our appeal.”

The death is not being treated as suspicious at this time and a file will be passed to HM Coroner.
