Blackpool man arrested on suspicion of murder after reports of a 'sudden death' in Talbot Road

A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man's body was discovered at an address in Talbot Road yesterday (June 9).

The suspect, from Blackpool, is in custody as an investigation continues into the 'sudden death' of a man in his 20s at around 5.15pm.

Detectives said his death is being treated as suspicious and a Home Office post mortem investigation is due to be carried out to establish the exact cause of his death.

A police spokesman said: "We were called at 5.15pm yesterday (Tuesday, June 9) to a report of a sudden death at an address on Talbot Road in Blackpool.

"Police and paramedics attended and sadly the body of a man, believed to be in his 20s, was found dead inside the address.

"The death is currently being treated as suspicious.

"A Home Office post mortem examination will be carried out in due course to try to establish the cause of death.

"A 26-year-old man from Blackpool has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody.

"Enquiries are on-going."
