Blackpool man arrested after 17-year-old boy stabbed in Layton

A 20-year-old Blackpool man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding and released on bail after a teenager was stabbed on Talbot Road.

Police were called to reports a teenager had been stabbed on Talbot Road at around 2.12pm on Wednesday (April 15).

Officers and paramedics attended the scene and closed the road at the junction with Foxdale Avenue.

A 17-year-old boy was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital, where he was reportedly in a "stable condition."

Officers have now confirmed a 20-year-old man from Blackpool has been arrested in connection with the attack.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "A 20-year-old man from Blackpool has been arrested on suspicion of wounding and released on police bail pending further enquiries."
