Blackpool man accused of murdering woman whose body was found in burning car appears in court
William McFall, 50, of Waterloo Road, South Shore, and Stephen Unwin, 39, of St Oswald’s Terrance in Houghton, did not enter a plea during the brief hearing at Newcastle Crown Court, and were told they would be kept in custody ahead of further pre-trial appearance in November.
The pair were charged with murder after firefighters found 29-year-old Quyen Ngoc Nguyen’s body inside a car in Shiney Row, near Sunderland, last Tuesday morning.

Hide AdHer family and friends sat in the public gallery, wearing white mourning headbands and clutching a picture of her, as judge Paul Sloan said McFall and Unwin’s next appearance would be on Monday, November 13.
A trial, which may last three weeks, has been listed for January 2018, though the date is subject to change.
Speaking outside court after a previous court hearing, a friend of Ms Nguyen said she left behind a son, and added: “She’s the most beautiful and kind girl. Everyone loves her.
“Since she died, people from all over the UK have come here, from Birmingham and London.
