Ian Milner, 39, sex offences involving children

A Blackpool man has made his first appearance at court charge with multiple sex offences.

Ian Milner, 39, of High Street is charged with possessing and distributing child pornography some of it at the most indecent level.

He is also charged with 10 allegations of sex offences involving children including illegal sexual touching.

Milner was given bail by Blackpool Magistrates who sent his cases to be heard at Preston Crown Court on July 11.

Noor al Islam Muhammed , 26, threatening behaviour

Neighbours called police when they overheard a Wesham man rowing with his mother.

Noor al Islam Muhammed admitted threatening behaviour while staying at his mother’s home in Pendle Court ,Wesham near Kirkham.

He was given a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £105 costs.

Magistrates heard how police were told by neighbours the defendant was threatening his mother and reported to police that he had a knife.

Muhammed denied he ever had a knife but accepted he had been difficult with the police when they arrived at the property.

Daniel Lee, 30, assault, taking a car without permission, causing damage and driving without insurance

A man who had been drinking and had taken cocaine put his girlfriend in a headlock.

Daniel Lee then took her car and after driving around threw bricks around in his street denting a friend’s car.

Lee, 30, of Inskip Place, South Shore, pleaded guilty to assault, taking a car without permission, causing damage and driving without insurance and not in accordance with his learner’s licence.

He was sentenced to a 12 months community order with up to 25 days rehabilitation to be supervised by the probation service, told to do 120 hours unpaid work for the community, banned from the road for 12 months, fined £100 with £85 costs and ordered to pay £640 compensation towards the car he damaged plus £85 victims’ surcharge.

The judge told him: “You did some incredibly silly and bad things that night.”

Prosecutor, Adrian Hollamby, said Lee said he had drunk nine cans of lager three pints and had taken cocaine on May 20.

There was a row with his girlfriend about him using her bank card to buy a round of drinks and he put her in a headlock and pulled her hair.

Lee took his partner’s Ford Fiesta and after driving about threw bricks damaging his friend’s Vauxhall Corsa.

Patrick Nelligan, defending, said Lee had come from behind his girlfriend and grabbed her around the neck in an attempt to wrestle his phone from her.

She had suffered no injuries.

Lee had foolishly taken his partner’s car and drove round the block to see how she was because he was genuinely concerned about her.

Mr Nelligan added: “He entered immediate guilty pleas.

“He is genuinely regretful of what happened and ashamed.”

Jody Langford, 25, breaching a restraining order by contacting his ex partner and threatening behaviour

A man stood on the roof of his ex-partner’s house and threatened to throw roof tiles at the police cars below.

The mother of his two children and the children themselves were forced to flee their home in Fleetwood, Blackpool Magistrates were told.

Jody Langford, 25, of Larkholme Lane, Fleetwood pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order by contacting his ex partner and threatening behaviour towards police.

He was given a 12 weeks jail term suspended for a year.

Pam Smith, prosecuting, said Langford had been living in a garden shed at his mother’s home.

He turned up at his partner’s house asking if he could have a shower.

Police were called and when they arrived Langford was on the house roof.

“His children were very upset about what was going on,” said the prosecutor.

Patrick Nelligan, defending, said: “My client is working with probation to find himself accommodation. He accepts he caused a lot of distress.”

Mark Bird, 36, drunk and disorderly

A man with a history of getting drunk stood in the middle of the road waving his arms at a motorist who was forced to swerve.

Mark Bird, 36, of Clevedon Road, North Shore, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly.

He was fined £100 and ordered to pay £30 victims’ surcharge.

Bird had six previous convictions for being drunk and disorderly this year but was convinced his drink had been spiked.
