Be wary of this coronavirus scam happening in Blackpool

Cold callers have been reported in Blackpool on the hunt for signs of the deadly coronavirus.

Trading Standards bosses have received a report of scammers claiming to be checking for the disease, which has claimed the lives of more than 2,800 people worldwide, in order to gain access to people's houses.

Blackpool Council warned: "Do not let them in.

"If anyone has any elderly or vulnerable relatives, friends or neighbours – please do make them aware."
