A man obsessed with his former girlfriend breached a restraining order for the fourth time to be with her.

Steven Fleming had been banned by a court from contacting his ex but appeared unable to keep away from her, magistrates were told.

Fleming, 36, of Linden Place, Bispham, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a restraining order.

He was bailed for pre-sentence reports with all options including custody to be considered by Blackpool magistrates.

He must keep a tagged curfew from 8pm to 6am as a condition of his bail.

Robert Castle, defending, said his client had been contacted by his ex and asked to go round and help her. Later they argued and she called the police.

Mr Castle added: “The solution is for Fleming to ignore her, but he finds it almost impossible to do.”
