Bail breach for club ban man

A man breached his bail when he went into Flamingo's nightclub.

Leon Booth, 18, of Finsbury Avenue, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a bail condition.

District Judge David Noble sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court agreed to rebail him with the additional condition he should keep an 8pm to 7am curfew at his given address.

Prosecutor, Eddie Harrison, said Booth had been bailed on condition he did not have contact with a named man or enter Flamingo’s.
On April 17 at 4.30am, the man Booth was not to contact was on the dance floor at the nightclub when he saw the defendant.

The man said he walked into another area and a woman Booth was with told him he was going to ‘have a problem at court’. Booth was behind her looking smug.

The man then went to the smoking area. Booth and the woman followed and the woman repeated herself. The man heard Booth say “Watch your back.”

Suzanne Mugford, defending, said when her client had been at court he had not heard the bail condition that he must not enter Flamingo’s. Booth said when he was in the club he had no contact with the complainant.

Ms Mugford added: “From now on he does not intend to come to Blackpool at all on nights out.”
