A man accused of attacking his former girlfriend twice on consecutive days has been banned from a bookmakers chain of shops.

John Gill is alleged to have first grabbed and dragged the 29-year-old betting shop worker and the following day squeezed her head and neck. Gill, 28, of Raikes Parade, Blackpool, pleaded not guilty to two offences of assault on December 28 and 29.

He was bailed to March 9 for trial by Blackpool magistrates. He must not enter any Betfred betting shop in the UK as a condition of his bail.
