A man has been allowed by a magistrates’ court to change his bail conditions after being evicted from his address in Blackburn – meaning he will now live in Blackpool.

Steven Brown, 35, who is accused of assaulting a girlfriend and damaging a car, had been bailed on the condition he lived at Preston New Road, Blackburn.

Defence lawyer Brett Chappell applied to vary Brown’s bail.

He said Brown had been told the Blackburn address was no longer available to him and he had nowhere else to stay but at his cousin’s.

Blackpool magistrates agreed that Brown could live at an address in Lynton Avenue, South Shore, Blackpool, instead.
