APPEAL: Man suffers serious facial injuries in Blackpool 'bar brawl'

A man suffered serious facial injuries after he was smashed in the face with a glass bottle at a bar in Blackpool, say police.

At around 2.15am on April 17 police say they were called to a "brawl" between two men at the Flying Handbag on Queen Street.

A 26-year-old man is reported to have been hit in the face with a glass bottle before several other men joined in, throwing chairs at each other. The group were separated by door staff but two men continued fighting afterwards, police said. Following enquiries, detectives are keen to speak to these two men, pictured, in connection with the investigation. Det Con Queenie Chan, from Blackpool CID said: “We need anyone who may have seen this fight to come forward and speak to us. “If you witnessed anything you think could help, please get in touch.” Two men were arrested shortly after the incident on suspicion of affray. The 26-year-old man and a 31-year-old man, both from Ayrshire, Scotland, were released under investigation pending further enquiries.
