A man accused of burgling his girlfriend’s home pouring a red drink on the bed and putting toothbrushes down the toilet has made his first appearance at court.

Christopher Allen, 27, of Boltons Croft, Salwick, is charged with burgling an address in Vulcan Road, Freckleton and stealing jewellery, hair straighteners and a make-up bag.

He is also charged with damaging a bed, toothbrushes and a mirror between August 11 and 12.

Allen pleaded not guilty to both offences.

Philip Potter, prosecuting, asked for the case to be heard at crown court. Defence lawyer, David Charnley, asked for bail for Allen.

Allen was bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on November 21 by Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
