POLICE have uncovered a cannabis factory with a stash worth around £6,000.
Officers are thanking the Wesham community for information that led them to haul at a house on Station Road on Thursday.
They found 20 fully grown cannabis plants, which were seized along with equipment used to cultivate the drug.
Community Beat Manager PC Gary Cross said: “We are extremely grateful that residents contacted us to let us know about this cannabis factory and would urge anybody who suspects that cannabis is being grown in their area, to please let us know.
“The production of cannabis brings misery to communities and I hope this result acts as a warning to anybody else involved in something like this that we will not tolerate it and we will find out.”
A 23-year-old man has been arrested and is currently in custody awaiting interview.
Anyone with drug production suspicions is urged to call police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
