CORONATION Street stars Simon Gregson and Kate Ford had a nibble with a difference in Blackpool.
For the duo – better known as the Street’s Steve McDonald and Tracy Barlow – ended up in deep water as they filmed on South Pier.
Blackpool entrepreneur and funnyman Joey Blower grabbed the duo to have a paddle in his new Fishy Feet venture – a foot spa next to his new fish and chip shop on the pier.
Joey said: “We’ve got both shops open now after they installed the tanks and the fish for the spa last weekend.
“We thought if you don’t want to put your foot in the water, we could always sell them to you as whitebait from the chip shop!”
The Corrie actors were on South Pier yesterday filming the latest scenes from a new storyline involving their daughter Amy getting lost in the resort while on holiday.
The fish spa involves putting your feet in a tank of Garra Rufa or Doctor Fish which eat dead skin to give the foot a smoother feel.
Joey added: “Kate liked it but Simon wasn’t too keen.
“He wasn’t too sure. I really enjoyed it but let on I didn’t so the boys could stick together.
“We have put together a decent shop with nice fittings for the fish and people are into the spas at the moment - Blackpool is the perfect place to have one.”
