Clifton ward councillors Luke Taylor and Adrian Hutton have organised the programme along with volunteers from the Clifton Community Volunteers Club, and will also be dropping in themselves in order to meet constituents.

Events kick off on Friday April 7 with stone decorating skills being taught by Rev Linda Tomkinson.

Artist Susan Frye is holding a pastel drawing class on Friday April 21, and the Clifton Community Volunteers Club will be sprucing up the garden outside the Library, planting, weeding and building a bench on Friday April 28.

All sessions take place between 12 noon and 3pm, and people can just drop in.

Coun Taylor said: “Volunteers from Clifton Community Volunteers Club will be supporting Mereside Library for the month of April.

“The club will look to support the great work the library does in the community and offer even more.”

Anyone who would like to take part in any of the sessions is being urged to turn up on the day, pop into the library or call 07581405558 for more information.
