Salford-born comedian Jason Manford will be bringing his regular comedy night back to Ribby Hall Village in Wrea Green tomorrow night.

And two more dates have also been announced for the shows, over the coming months, which feature an all-star line-up of comedians.

Jason, who organises the events, but will not be performing himself, says Ribby Hall is an ideal venue – situated between Preston and Blackpool.

His first Comedy Club there took place in April, and bosses at Ribby Hall say it’s as popular as ever.

He said: “Once you get in to North West England, after Liverpool and Manchester, it is very difficult to find good local comedy at an affordable price.

“The great thing about this venue is it can hold more than 300 people – which means we really can compete with the big clubs in the main northern cities, to make sure we only bring the best acts.

“I’ve carefully selected some of my favourite comedians. There’s nothing like live comedy!”

Susan Milburn, business and banqueting manager at Ribby Hall Village, said: “We’ve enjoyed working with Manford’s comedy Club since April this year, hosting their event once a month.

“Numbers are looking good for this Friday’s gig, but there are some tickets still available for £10 per person, plus a small booking fee of £1.

“While we host the comedy club every month, we think that December’s comedy club, in particular December 14, would be a great alternative for a Christmas party or festive social get-together.”
