Comedian to switch on festive lights

The big switch-on takes place at the Andsell institute at 5pm.

Those attending will also be entertained by the cast of the Lowther Pavilion’s panto Aladdin and the choir from Ansdell Primary School will sing some festive songs.

The switch-on will be followed by a visit from Father Christmas and mulled wine and mince pies will be served.

Singers and musicians will provide some musical fun with Richard Redcliffe acting as MC.

Town crier Collin Ballard will announce the guests and stars of the show.
