A popular park was turned into a sea of colour to celebrate its centenary.
Highfield Park in Blackpool turned 100 at the weekend, with dozens of people turning out to help mark the special occasion with a series of art displays.
Creations included yarn bombs hanging from branches and tree trunks, while two Blackpool artists, Mr Dee and Boz Phillips, gave a wall a splash of colour with some temporary graffiti art.
Karen Pennington, of the Friends of Highfield Park, helped to organise the event.
She said: “It is all about art and fun for us.
“The yarn bombs make the park more colourful.
“The park looks quite drab in winter, but these designs make it look great.
“We want to make it a fun place to come. Here is to another 100 years.”
