Visitors can get the chance to watch lambs being born, hold them and learn about how they are looked after. There will also be children’s arts and craft activities taking place in the barn on each day.

Schools co-ordinator Peter Cotterill said: “These weekends are always popular and provide a fun day out for all the family. The children love to see the lambs and, as always, there will be plenty of activities for them to do.

“The weekends are normal working days for the farm so it is a great chance to see the daily shepherd duties and learn about farm life.”

“We always have a tremendous turnout for our lambing weekends and fantastic feedback from visitors.”

Back for its 11th year, the lambing weekend will be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 5 and 6, from 10.30am until 3.30pm, with last entry at 3pm.

Admission is £4 per adult and £2 per child over the age of three.
