Blackpool is no stranger to coaches but there are rather more of them than usual in the town this weekend.
In fact there were no less than 49 of them specially in town to take part in the 64th annual UK Coach Rally.
For the last three years this national event has been held in Blackpool.
The two-day competitive event, on both today and tomorrow, will culminate in the prestigious Coach Driver of the Year tomorrow at 1,30pm.
Other events tomorrow include Mini Coach Driver of the Year at noon and the Directors Challenge at 2.30pm.
The rally opens to the public tomorrow on the Middle Walk at 10am.
Competitors have brought their gleaming coaches to town from all over the country, from Newry in Northern Ireland to Brecon in Wales, from Edinburgh to Bournemouth.
The event is being staged in the resort in association with Visit Blackpool and Merlin Group.
Managing director of the UK Coach rally, Paul Cousins, said: “We’re back in Blackpool for the third year running and we’re loving it here.”
