Blackpool Tower Circus was forced to cancel its show on Thursday after an issue with its flooding mechanism - but will be back in action in time for Saturday’s show.
Tower boss Kate Shane said: “The ring is supposed to flood – but an issue caused the water to overflow so it affected the performance on Thursday.
“We have no performances on a Friday anyway until half term, and the circus show will be back on on Saturday.”
A source, who wishes to remain anonymous, told The Gazette the Tower Circus was “absolutely flooded”.
A message on the official Blackpool Tower Twitter account on Thursday said: “Unfortunately due to unforeseen extended maintenance The Blackpool Tower Circus will be closed today.”
