Charity in tie-up with accountant over cafe

Danbro and the Brothers of Charity Services are cooking up a partnership with the new catering facilities within Jubilee House on the Green at Lytham.

Brothers of Charity Services has been providing services to vulnerable people in Lancashire for more than 80 years.

They have a wide portfolio of social enterprises throughout the county providing training and work experience opportunities for people with learning disabilities within their local community.

The kitchen, staff dining room and coffee shop at Jubilee House will provide the opportunity to learn catering and hospitality skills as well as being a fun friendly environment with lots of positive outcomes for everyone.

The former Land Registry building in Lytham is being converted by Danbro into Jubilee House for use as its new headquarters.

Ann Jones, head of vocational enterprises, said: “We were absolutely delighted to be approached by Danbro to run their catering operation.

“We are really excited as this is a unique opportunity to combine the private and third sector for the mutual benefits of all people involved with both organisations.

“We have a good track record as we already run a café in Adlington, a coffee lounge in Leyland and work in partnership with Age UK (Lancs) in Central and West Lancashire.”
